301 redirects

How to Redirect a Web Page Using a 301 Redirect
By Herman Drost

You've just redesigned some pages of your web site. The pages have high search engine rankings that you don't want to lose. How can you safely redirect web site traffic from your old pages to the new pages without losing your rankings? You can do this by using a " 301 redirect "

What is 301 redirect?

301 redirect is the best method to preserve your current search engine rankings when redirecting web pages or a website. The code "301" is interpreted as "moved permanently". After the code, the URL of the missing or renamed page is noted, followed by a space, then followed by the new location or file name. You implement the 301 redirect by creating a .htaccess file.

What is a .htaccess file?

When a visitor/spider requests a web page, your web server checks for a .htaccess file. The .htaccess file contains specific instructions for certain requests, including security, redirection issues and how to handle certain errors.

How to implement the 301 Redirect

1. To create a .htaccess file, open notepad, name and save the file as .htaccess (there is no extension).

2. If you already have a .htaccess file on your server, download it to your desktop for editing.

3. Place this code in your .htaccess file:
redirect 301 /old/old.htm http://www.you.com/new.htm

4. If the .htaccess file already has lines of code in it, skip a line, then add the above code.

5. Save the .htaccess file

6. Upload this file to the root folder of your server.

7. Test it by typing in the old address to the page you've changed. You should be immediately taken to the new location.

Notes: Don't add "http://www" to the first part of the statement - place the path from the top level of your site to the page. Also ensure that you leave a single space between these elements:
redirect 301 (the instruction that the page has moved)

/old/old.htm (the original folder path and file name)

http://www.you.com/new.htm (new path and file name)

When the search engines spider your site again they will follow the rule you have created in your .htaccess file. The search engine spider doesn't actually read the .htaccess file, but recognizes the response from the server as valid.
During the next update, the old file name and path will be dropped and replaced with the new one. Sometimes you may see alternating old/new file names during the transition period, plus some fluctuations in rankings. According to Google it will take 6-8 weeks to see the changes reflected on your pages.

Other ways to implement the 301 redirect:

1. To redirect ALL files on your domain use this in your .htaccess file if you are on a unix web server:
redirectMatch 301 ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com
redirectMatch permanent ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com

You can also use one of these in your .htaccess file:

redirect 301 /index.html http://www.domain.com/index.html
redirect permanent /index.html http://www.domain.com/index.html
redirectpermanent /index.html http://www.domain.com/index.html

This will redirect "index.html" to another domain using a 301-Moved permanently redirect.

2. If you need to redirect http://mysite.com to http://www.mysite.com and you've got mod_rewrite enabled on your server you can put this in your .htaccess file:
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example\.com
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.example.com/$1 [R=permanent,L]

or this:
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Tip: Use your full URL (ie http://www.domain.com) when obtaining incoming links to your site. Also use your full URL for the internal linking of your site.

3. If you want to redirect your .htm pages to .php pages and you've got mod_rewrite enabled on your server you can put this in your .htaccess file:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule (.*).htm$ /$1.php

4. If you wish to redirect your .html or .htm pages to .shtml pages because you are using Server Side Includes (SSI) add this code to your .htaccess file:

AddType text/html .shtml
AddHandler server-parsed .shtml .html .htm
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Includes
DirectoryIndex index.shtml index.html
Frequently Asked Question:

What's the difference in using a 301 redirect versus a meta redirect?

Meta Redirect

To send someone to a new page (or site) put this in the head of your document:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="10; url=http://mynewsite.com/">
Content="10; tells the browser to wait 10 seconds before transfer, choose however long you would like, you can even choose 0 to give a smoother transition, but some (really old) browsers aren't capable of using this so I'd suggest putting a link on that page to your new site for them.

With a meta redirect the page with the redirect issues a 200 OK status and some other mechanism moves the browser over to the new URL. With a 200 OK on both pages, the search engine wants to index both the start page and the target page - and that is a known spam method (set up 10,000 domains full of keywords for the search engines to index then meta redirect the "real visitor" after 0 or 1 seconds to the "real site" ) so using it gets you penalized.

The 301 redirect simply issues a Permanently Moved message
in the HTTP header which tells the search engine to only index the target URL.

Conclusion: The safest way to redirect old web pages to the new pages or old web site to the new web site and keep the same search engine rankings is to use the 301 redirect. It will also pass on the page rank from your old site to your new site.

Be on time with Gmail Custom Time

Have you heard or tried to use already this new Gmail Custom Time? If not, then it's your time to try. Just like me, it's also my first time to use this application from Gmail. You can now send mails by selecting “Set custom time” from the Compose view. Any email you send to the past appears in the proper chronological order in your recipient’s inbox. You can opt for it to show up read or unread by selecting the appropriate option.

So what does this mean and is it for real? well it means that your email can travel through time and yes its real for those people who don’t know the day today and are not much familiar with Google’s sense of humor.

How do I use it?

Yes. You'll only be able to send email back until April 1, 2004, the day we launched Gmail. If we were to let you send an email from Gmail before Gmail existed, well, that would be like hanging out with your parents before you were born -- crazy talk.

How does it work?

Google to become second biggest social website in 12 months

Upon examining the first month of results since the launch of the new social media platform Google +1, it is set to become a key competitor to Facebook & Twitter.Uptake has been strong, with Google reporting over 25 million accounts have already been set up – and they are still in the Beta testing stage. This could be a little pre-emptive however, but there are signs it is heading in the right direction based on some of the survey’s findings:-          45% of users report reading content once a day or more (only Facebook’s 62% is higher among social networks) -          46% of Google+ users report creating content (e.g., creating posts; sharing links) at least once a week. This competes with Twitter (42%) – where effortless content creation is its heart.Perhaps more interestingly, is the finding that the demographics of Google+ are substantially different to the other main social platforms. The current uptake of users shows the majority from a young male demographic.-          3 men for every 2 women (vs. 1 man for every 1.2 women on Facebook)-          43% of membership is 18-29 (vs. 31% for Facebook -          59% has a college degree (vs. 37% for Facebook)-          48% are single (vs. 33% of Facebook users)Again, this is limited data – as Google+ is so new (and only a small number of people were interviewed), but it does suggest the platform could be being used in a different way to Facebook – although social, it is less focused on the profile page and more on the sharing element; it has features that definitely appeal to a different audience. Some of these features include Circles- the ability to separate groups of friends – you choose who and what they see within that particular Circle. For example, you can create a ‘Co-workers’ or ‘Family’ Circle. This is easier to navigate than Facebook friend groups and lists. This is also one of the features that is clearly separating Google+ from Facebook. Whereas Facebook advocates a more public disclosure, Google+ is the opposite – promoting the idea of separating your social groups quite literally.  Whilst at the moment Google+ is still in its testing phase, it seems quite simple to manage these Circles. However, we envisage it could potentially get quite tricky to organise all your Circles, especially as usage grows. Although the number of Google+ users is expected to rise dramatically over the coming year, there are still doubts as to the incentive for Facebook users to move to the Google network. Those that have a Gmail account are much more likely to try Google+ due to the fact they are already in the Google ‘clique’. Also, Facebook are not likely to make it easy to leave – it is quite difficult to export data from the platform – such as photos, information, contacts. Another thing to remember is that Facebook got really entertaining when all your friends signed up and it did not develop in a day – it took time. The Google Project has great potential but has a long way to go yet…Reference: YouGov interviewed 1,003 adults, nationally-representative of the US online adult population, online from 29 July–2Aug 2011.

Seo Tips: A Valuable Link Building Tips

As I had posted in my previous topic about SEO, it is one of the most crucial methods you can use for website promotion. On-page SEO is important because it doesn't take you really far. Once the on-page is set properly done, then the next thing to do is to link build a good quality inbound weblinks which can help your site place on the first page of the search engine results pages or SERP's.

The following are the valuable tips in link building of your website but if you're an SEO expert, then these tips will remind you of the basic yet essential link building strategies.

1. Go for Higher Quality Links

All links are not created equal. SEO links that have higher value provide greater optimization benefits compared to low quality links. There are several factors that can determine the quality of website links. These are:

    • The reputation and trustworthiness of the domain giving the website links. For instance, a link from cnn.com would have higher value compared to a link from a website that ranks lower in the Alexa rank checker.

    • How relevant the anchor text is to the link. This means that an anchor text saying "fish tank" would be far more relevant and valuable than a "click here" anchor text.

    • The link's location within the site structure. For obvious reasons, SEO links embedded on a site's homepage is more beneficial than a link that comes from a deeply hidden page.

    • The link's visibility on a webpage. It also matters where the inbound link is located on a webpage. Website links at the top of a webpage are more visible than those at the bottom.

    • Similarly, a link that's one of three on a page is more valuable than a link that's one of 80.

Now that you have an idea of how website links are given value, the question is: How do you get high quality links? The tips below will explain different methods of effective search engine optimization link building.

2. Create Useful, Relevant and Interesting Content

Building superior quality content remains an effective method of getting SEO links from other websites. With excellent content, not only will you be able to build backlinks naturally, requesting a link also becomes easier since the partner website can benefit from the link request as well.

In addition, building good content is one way to get all your SEO links for free. Link baiting is a method made for the sole purpose of attracting links using interesting and useful content. All you have to do is create a site with great content, and wait for the website links to come.

3. SEO Link Building with Blog and RSS Feeds

Promoting your site via blogs and RSS feeds is an easy and great way to boost your site's exposure and SEO link building opportunities. Blog readers are always looking for interesting sites and posts. If your website is listed in their preferred blog and RSS directories, there's a decent chance that your site will be found.

4. Submit Your Site to Directories

Another easy way to get website links is through directory submissions. Although this method doesn't quite give good quality SEO links, it's a good place to start if you're new to search engine optimization link building.

There are two ways to submit your site to directories. You can use a directory submission service that automatically sends your site to over 100 directories, or you can manually submit the site yourself. Doing it automatically saves you a lot of time; while manual submission allows you to easily send your site to major directories (the more popular directories usually don't accept automatic submissions).

5. Research on Your Competitors' SEO Links

Look up the sites that are providing links to the websites of your competitors. This is a good way to start your SEO link building efforts, since websites that link to your competitors are likely to be interested in linking to your site as well. However, before implementing this strategy, make sure that your website is as good as your competitor's.

There are many SEO link building tools that can help you check your competitors' SEO links. SEOBook Back Link Analyzer provides comprehensive backlink information. It's free, but only runs on Windows. There's also the impressive (paid) SEO SpyGlass, which runs on Mac, Linux and Windows.

6. Writing and Submitting Articles

There are several websites out there that you can submit your articles to. EzineArticles, for example, is a popular article site that allows you to post writings, as well as build website links. You can either create SEO links within the article or at the bottom section of the article called the "bio box" or "author box."

Again, it's important that your articles are useful and informative. Bloggers, news reporters and other industry experts might be interested in posting your article to their blog or creating SEO links to your site. So, make your article as interesting as possible.

7. Purchase Links and Look for Link Brokers

Although Google is becoming stricter on link renting, it's possible to purchase temporary website links. The reason why Google is cracking down on link renting is that these SEO links are there on your site one day, and then suddenly disappear once you stop renting them.

The Dos and Don'ts of Sexting

Anthony Weiner's Twitter scandal certainly makes the list of "don'ts," but there are ways to send sexy text messages — at the right time and to the right person. Follow these rules of sexting etiquette.

Medically reviewed by Lindsey Marcellin, MD, MPH

After U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner copped to sending a racy photo of himself to a woman via Twitter — as well as to a history of online infidelity that included sending sexy photos, Facebook messages, and emails to at least five other women over the last three years — the scandal has left many people wondering why anyone would do such a thing.
After all, isn’t sending out sexy photos just asking to be caught?
The Weiner firestorm aside — the congressman is married and he lied repeatedly about the incident before admitting the truth — sexting, or sharing intimate photos or messages via cell phone texts and emails, isn’t always a bad idea. For committed couples, some experts say that sexting can actually be a great way to sizzle up your sex life.
“A sext can be as simple as writing to your partner what you want to do when you see him later,” says Olivia Baniuszewicz co-author (along with Debra Goldstein) of Flirtexting: How to Text Your Way into His Heart. It creates anticipation and build-up throughout your day, which can boost your libido and add some newness and variety to your usual sexual routine.
But to avoid embarrassment, consider these dos and don’ts before you hit send on that sext message:
Sexting Dos
Baniuszewicz offers these rules for sending successful sexy messages to your spouse or partner:
  • DO send a sext to your significant other while you are out to dinner with friends. There’s something very exciting about exchanging sexy and covert messages in public.
  • DO remember that less is more. There are ways to be suggestive without putting it all out there. It’s sexier to not take it all off for a camera phone. Instead, send sensual, suggestive photo texts. For example, you might take a picture of your bed and write “Room for two” or take a picture of your lips and text “They miss you.”
  • DO sext your partner if you’re shy by nature. It’s a great approach if you find it hard to verbalize what you like sexually. You can use the casual environment of a text to reveal your sexual fantasies.
  • DO sext if you’re a long distance away on business. This can help you keep the spark alive and remain close when you’re apart. When you're about to go to sleep and you miss your partner, text that you're all alone in that big bed of yours and ask for a suggestion for something to do. He or she will gladly take it from there.
Sexting Don’ts
Here are Baniuszewicz’s cautions about texting:
  • DON’T sext with someone you just recently started dating or can’t trust implicitly. You’re taking the risk of having your photo leaked or forwarded, turning off the person on the receiving end, or having the photo get into the wrong hands.
  • DON’T ever include your face in a naked photo text. This protects you from embarrassment if the photo ends up being seen by someone you know.
  • DON’T take sexting requests too seriously. Have a little fun teasing your partner. If he or she’s begging for you to send a sexy picture of yourself, and you’re not comfortable with it, take a picture of your Victoria Secret catalog or Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue and write “Not mine, but I’m still thinking of you.”
  • DON’T forget to delete any sexts or photos after viewing them. This is especially important if there are any children in your home who might get a hold of your phone (kids are more tech-savvy than you think!)
  • DON’T engage in cellular infidelity. As Congressman Weiner can now attest, sexting with someone outside of your marriage or relationship is a form of cheating.

New Google PageRank Algorithm Tip

On June 27th, the webmasters around the world has witnessed one of most buzzing "PageRank Update" in recent history. Some highlights of this interesting update were -
PR of Google itself- which is down to 9 from 10.
And a custom blogspot blogger getting PR 8 from 0.

These two facts are enough to assume that Google may have implemented major change in its Pagerank algorithm. And after nearly 15 days of mini research and surveys, I have no doubt declaring - 'Yes Google's PageRank algorithm update is reality.' It may have hit some webmasters badly. But in order to make yourself acquainted with new Pagerank algorithm, you need to know the whole thing again.

Why this Change?
Before you get to know the latest pagerank algorithm, you should know the exact reasons why Google has gone through such robust changes in its Pagerank algorithm.
You can say Google was caught in its own trap! How?
You know that some years back Google invented the 'nofollow' attribute for comment spamming. Though By implementing 'nofollow' attribute, the issue of comment spamming was controlled to some extent, but there was developing another bigger problem. That was directly connected to the Google's unique search algorithm. The main problem, Google was facing natural referencing often got the 'nofollow' attribute, which Google never expected.

To adjust yourself with the new PR algorithm, you should concentrate on these six tips-

1)Nofollow attribute: Nofollow links has come with a bang. As a result of this unexpected change, links with nofollow attribute can not be overlooked now. Some websites, with only nofollow backlinks has got a PR rise after this update, which only strengthen my view.

2)In content Dofollow: Though it still have value, but it priority has been lowered as Google is noticing 'In-content Dofollow link' trading is only increasing.

3)Directory links: Some gurus are making rubbish statement by saying Directory links are no longer important. But that are only applicable for low quality directories. Directory like Dmoz will always have its value.

4)Social Backlinks: Though social links comes with natural 'nofollow', it has its effect on PR. So never ignore facebook, twitter, linkedin backlinks.

5)Forum Links: Due to dofollow forum signature spamming, Google has lowered the value of links, which you get from forum signature.

6)Inner navigation: Your URL structure and navigation of your website also will have more effect on PR from now on. So make sure your website's URLs are crawl-able and search engine friendly.

I hope these tips will help you to understand the Google's new Pagerank algorithm. I have just briefed the major points here for a quick overview.

DoFollow Webmaster Forums

Here are some list of a DoFollow webmaster forums that might help you.
I just found this list on a site and think that might help you that's why i just re posted it here.

Angry Birds

Angry Birds is a puzzle video game developed by Finland-based Rovio Mobile. Inspired primarily by a sketch of stylized wingless birds, the game was first released for Apple's iOS in December 2009. Since that time, over 12 million copies of the game have been purchased from Apple's App Store, which has prompted the company to design versions for other touchscreen-based smartphones, such as those using the Android operating system, among others.

In the game, players use a slingshot to launch birds at pigs stationed on or within various structures, with the intent of destroying all the pigs on the playfield. As players advance through the game, new birds appear, some with special abilities that can be activated by the player. Rovio Mobile has supported Angry Birds with numerous free updates that add additional game content, and the company has even released stand-alone holiday and promotional versions of the game.

Angry Birds has been praised for its successful combination of addictive gameplay, comical style, and low price. Its popularity led to versions of Angry Birds being created for personal computers and gaming consoles, a market for merchandise featuring its characters and even long-term plans for a feature film or television series. With a combined 200 million downloads across all platforms and including both regular and special editions, the game has been called "one of the most mainstream games out right now", "one of the great runaway hits of 2010", and "the largest mobile app success the world has seen so far".

Angry Birds is a video game that started out on the iPhone. After being successful on the iPhone, the developers moved to other platforms such as BlackBerry and Android and finally launched Angry Birds Online. Angry Birds continues to be the #1 app in the iTunes app store and has been for a while.

The game is based on evil green monsters that steal the eggs of the birds. This makes them angry, hence the name "Angry Birds Online". To get the eggs back, you must destroy the fortresses of the green monsters by sending birds at them. There are all types of different birds, each with its own special ability. You have a set amount of birds you can use - if you destroy the fortress with those alloted birds, you beat the level. If you don't, you fail the level and need to try again.

White and Black Hat SEO

What Is White-Hat SEO?
Any SEO tactic that maintains the integrity of your website and the SERPs (search engine results pages) is considered a "white-hat" search engine optimization tactic. These are the only tactics that we will use whenever applicable and which enhance rather than detract from your website and from the rankings.
White-Hat SEO Tactics:
Internal Linking
By far one of the easiest ways to stop your website from ranking well on the search engines is to make it difficult for search engines to find their way through it. Many sites use some form of script to enable fancy drop-down navigation, etc. Many of these scripts cannot be crawled by the search engines resulting in unindexed pages.
While many of these effects add visual appeal to a website, if you are using scripts or some other form of navigation that will hinder the spidering of your website it is important to add text links to the bottom of at least your homepage linking to all you main internal pages including a sitemap to your internal pages.
Reciprocal Linking
Exchanging links with other webmasters is a good way (not the best, but good) of attaining additional incoming links to your site. While the value of reciprocal links has declined a bit over the past year they certainly still do have their place.
A VERY important note is that if you do plan on building reciprocal links it is important to make sure that you do so intelligently. Random reciprocal link building in which you exchange links with any and virtually all sites that you can will not help you over the long run. Link only to sites that are related to yours and who's content your visitors will be interested in and preferably which contain the keywords that you want to target. Building relevancy through association is never a bad thing unless you're linking to bad neighborhoods (penalized industries and/or websites).
If you are planning or currently do undertake reciprocal link building you know how time consuming this process can be. An useful tool that can speed up the process is PRProwler. Essentially this tool allows you to find related sites with high PageRank, weeding out many of the sites that would simply be a waste of time to even visit.
Content Creation
Don't confuse "content creation" with doorway pages and the such. When we recommend content creation we are discussing creating quality, unique content that will be of interest to your visitors and which will add value to your site.
The more content-rich your site is the more valuable it will appear to the search engines, your human visitors, and to other webmasters who will be far more likely to link to your website if they find you to be a solid resource on their subject.
Creating good content can be very time-consuming, however it will be well worth the effort in the long run. As an additional bonus, these new pages can be used to target additional keywords related to the topic of the page.
Writing For Others
You know more about your business that those around you so why not let everyone know? Whether it be in the form of articles, forum posts, or a spotlight piece on someone else's website, creating content that other people will want to read and post on their sites is one of the best ways to build links to your website that don't require a reciprocal link back.
Site Optimization
The manipulation of your content, wording, and site structure for the purpose of attaining high search engine positioning is the backbone of SEO and the search engine positioning industry. Everything from creating solid title and meta tags to tweaking the content to maximize it's search engine effectiveness is key to any successful optimization effort.
That said, it is of primary importance that the optimization of a website not detract from the message and quality of content contained within the site. There's no point in driving traffic to a site that is so poorly worded that it cannot possibly convey the desired message and which thus, cannot sell. Site optimization must always take into account the maintenance of the salability and solid message of the site while maximizing it's exposure on the search engines.
What Is Black-Hat SEO?

These Tactics Are Considered Black-Hat For A Reason.
This Page Is To Note The Tactics That You Will Hear About From Other SEO's.
These Are Not Legitimate Tactics And While Some May Work In The Short Term.
They WILL Get Your Website Penalized And/Or Banned Eventually.
Constantly webmasters attempt to "trick" the search engines into ranking sites and pages based on illegitimate means. Whether this is through the use of doorway pages, hidden text, interlinking, keyword spamming or other means they are meant to only trick a search engine into placing a website high in the rankings. Because of this, sites using black-hat SEO tactics tend to drop from these positions as fast as they climb (if they do climb at all).
The following tactics are not listed to help you "trick" the search engines but rather to warn you against these tactics should you hear they are used by other SEO's (this is not to say that all other search engine optimization experts use these tactics, just that some do and you should be warned against them).
Due to the sheer number of tricks and scripts used against search engines they could not possibly all be listed here. Below you will find only some of the most common black-hat tactics. Many SEO's and webmasters have simply modified the below tactics in hopes that the new technique will work. Truthfully they may, but not forever and probably not for long.
Black-Hat SEO Tactics:
Keyword Stuffing
This is probably one of the most commonly abused forms of search engine spam. Essentially this is when a webmaster or SEO places a large number of instances of the targeted keyword phrase in hopes that the search engine will read this as relevant. In order to offset the fact that this text generally reads horribly it will often be placed at the bottom of a page and in a very small font size. An additional tactic that is often associated with this practice is hidden text which is commented on below.
Hidden Text
Hidden text is text that is set at the same color as the background or very close to it. While the major search engines can easily detect text set to the same color as a background some webmasters will try to get around it by creating an image file the same color as the text and setting the image file as the background. While undetectable at this time to the search engines this is blatant spam and websites using this tactic are usually quickly reported by competitors and the site blacklisted.
Cloaking
In short, cloaking is a method of presenting different information to the search engines than a human visitor would see. There are too many methods of cloaking to possibly list here and some of them are still undetectable by the search engines. That said, which methods still work and how long they will is rarely set-in-stone and like hidden text, when one of your competitors figures out what is being done (and don't think they aren't watching you if you're holding one of the top search engine positions) they can and will report your site and it will get banned.
Doorway Pages
Doorway pages are pages added to a website solely to target a specific keyword phrase or phrases and provide little in the way of value to a visitor. Generally the content on these pages provide no information and the page is only there to promote a phrase in hopes that once a visitor lands there, that they will go to the homepage and continue on from there. Often to save time these pages are generated by software and added to a site automatically. This is a very dangerous practice. Not only are many of the methods of injecting doorway pages banned by the search engines but a quick report to the search engine of this practice and your website will simply disappear along with all the legitimate ranks you have attained with your genuine content pages.
Redirects
Redirecting, when used as a black-hat tactic, is most commonly brought in as a compliment to doorway pages. Because doorway pages generally have little or no substantial content, redirects are sometime applied to automatically move a visitor to a page with actual content such as the homepage of the site. As quickly as the search engines find ways of detecting such redirects, the spammers are uncovering ways around detection. That said, the search engines figure them out eventually and your site will be penalized. That or you'll be reported by a competitor or a disgruntled searcher.
Duplicate Sites
A throwback tactic that rarely works these days. When affiliate programs became popular many webmasters would simply create a copy of the site they were promoting, tweak it a bit, and put it online in hopes that it would outrank the site it was promoting and capture their sales. As the search engines would ideally like to see unique content across all of their results this tactic was quickly banned and the search engines have methods for detecting and removing duplicate sites from their index. If the site is changed just enough to avoid automatic detection with hidden text or the such, you can once again be reported to the search engines and be banned that way.

Dengue Fever Signs, Symptoms and Preventions

Dengue fever (DF), a benign acute febrile syndrome, has been called the most vital mosquito-transmitted viral disease. It is systemic disease caused by one of four sero-types of virus from the genus Flavivirus, which also includes the pathogens responsible for yellow fever and Japanese encephalitis.

Dengue most often manifests itself with the sudden onset of the fever five to eight days after a bite from one of several species of Aedes mosquito, including A. aegyptii, A. albopictus, and A. scutellaris.
After two to four days of headache, fever, and muscle aches, the disease eases for 12 to 48 hours before returning with a skin rash, chills, swollen and reddened eyes, and the severe joint pains that caused Rush to name it “break bone fever,” an eponym that remains in use. Dengue fever is usually benign and self limited, but a small number of cases will progress to the hemorrhagic form, in which bleeding from multiple organs and mucosal surfaces occurs and for which the mortality is about 5 percent. No vaccine is available for dengue, and there is no effective treatment. Because the mosquitoes that transmit the disease are day-biting, mosquito netting is of limited usefulness, and the only effective means of control has been to eliminate the Aedes vectors.

Symptoms and Signs of Dengue Fever

Dengue fever is characterized by acute onset of high fever, frontal headache, retro-orbital pain, myalgia, arthralgias, nausea, vomiting, and often maculopapular rash and hemorrhagic manifestations.
Severity ranges from asymptomatic infections to fatal hypotensive and hemorrhagic disease. Hemorrhagic manifestations are usually skin hemorrhages (i.e., petechiae, Purpura, or ecchymoses), but may also include epistaxis bleeding gums, haematemesis, and melaena.
The acute phase of illness lasts approximately a week, whereas convalescence, characterized by weakness, malaise, and anorexia, may last 1-2 weeks. DHF may initially resemble dengue fever. As fever subsides, thrombocytopenia and hemoconcentration due to vascular plasma leakage may develop, resulting in circulatory failure and severe hemorrhage. Warning signs for Dengue Shock Syndrome include severe abdominal pain, protracted vomiting, marked temperature change (from fever to hypothermia), or change in mental status (irritability or obtundation). DSS, which can lead to profound shock and death, can develop rapidly. Early signs include cold clammy skin, restlessness, rapid weak pulse, narrowing of pulse pressure, or hypotension. DHF and DSS can occur in both children and adults.

Treatment of dengue fever

A major problem associated with dengue hemorrhagic fever and dengue shock syndrome is the severe increase of vascular permeability, resulting in the loss of up to 20% of plasma volume from the vascular compartments. This plasma leakage often leads to shock, and under some conditions, to death. Early detection of this state and quick replacement of body fluid with electrolyte solutions can reverse DSS quite effectively.
In the case of DHF, where high body temperature is also a concern, regulated doses of paracetamol (Tylenol) are a useful treatment.
Dengue shock syndrome patients need to be closely observed for the onset of shock. Determination of hematocrit (the percent of whole blood composed of red blood cells) is important. It should be determined daily from the third day of illness. If determination of hematocrit is not possible then hemoglobin levels should be determined accurately.
In DSS the state of shock is a medical emergency. The patient should be immediately given plasma replacement and then methodically checked. Because of the large volume of fluid replacement there might be a drop in hematocrit toward the later part of the treatment, but that should not be interpreted as sign of internal hemorrhage, particularly if the patient has a strong pulse and correct blood pressure.
Restlessness is often a major problem in children with DSS. Use of sedatives to help these children sleep can provide symptomatic relief. But long acting sedatives should be avoided.
Oxygen might be required to treat patients in shock but it should be managed carefully by competent nurses.
If there are patients with a significant amount of bleeding, blood transfusions might be required. Internal bleeding may be difficult to detect. A sharp drop of hematocrit with no signs of improvements in spite of adequate fluid replacement indicates significant internal bleeding.

Homeopathic treatment of dengue fever - Homeopathy is one of the most popular holistic systems of medicine. The selection of remedy is based upon the theory of individualization and symptoms similarity by using holistic approach. This is the only way through which a state of complete health can be regained by removing all the sign and symptoms from which the patient is suffering. The aim of homeopathy is not only to treat dengue fever but to address its underlying cause and individual susceptibility. As far as therapeutic medication is concerned, several remedies are available to cure dengue fever symptoms that can be selected on the basis of cause, sensations and modalities of the complaints.  For individualized remedy selection and treatment, the patient should consult a qualified homeopathic doctor in person. There are following remedies which are helpful in the treatment of dengue fever symptoms:
Rhus Tox, Bryonia, pulsatilla, Veratrum album, Nux Vom, Natrum Mur, Phosphorous, Ipecauc, Sanguinaria, Arsenic Album, Lobelia Inflate, Chamomilla  and many other medicines.

Page rank between Facebook and Google

This news was so shocking for me. I'm so confused why Google's page rank gone down to PR9 this time and facebook remain on it's PR10. Does it mean that google is getting slower this time? or it's because of the issues scattered around about them. I don't know, only google knows for it is their algorithm and they are the one created this Page rank.

What is Google's Pagerank?

Google PageRank (Google PR) is one of the methods Google uses to determine a page's relevance or importance. Important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results. Google PageRank (PR) is a measure from 0 -10. Google Pagerank is based on backlinks. The more quality backlinks the higher google pagerank.  Improving your Google page rank (building quality backlinks) is very important if you want to improve your search engine rankings.

Who is Google?
It is a widely used search engine that uses text-matching techniques to find web pages that are important and relevant to a user's search.

According to wikipedia.com that Google Inc. is an American multinational public corporation invested in Internet search, cloud computing, and advertising technologies. Google hosts and develops a number of Internet-based services and products, and generates profit primarily from advertising through its AdWords program. The company was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, often dubbed the "Google Guys", while the two were attending Stanford University as PhD candidates. It was first incorporated as a privately held company on September 4, 1998, and its initial public offering followed on August 19, 2004. At that time Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and Eric Schmidt agreed to work together at Google for twenty years, until the year 2024. The company's mission statement from the outset was "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful", and the company's unofficial slogan – coined by Google engineer Amit Patel and supported by Paul Buchheit – is "Don't be evil". In 2006, the company moved to its current headquarters in Mountain View, California.

Who is Facebook?
According again to wikipedia.com Facebook is a social networking service and website launched in February 2004, operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc. As of January 2011[update], Facebook has more than 600 million active users. Users may create a personal profile, add other users as friends, and exchange messages, including automatic notifications when they update their profile. Facebook users must register before using the site. Additionally, users may join common-interest user groups, organized by workplace, school or college, or other characteristics. The name of the service stems from the colloquial name for the book given to students at the start of the academic year by university administrations in the United States to help students get to know each other better. Facebook allows any users who declare themselves to be at least 13 years old to become registered users of the website.

Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow computer science students Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. The website's membership was initially limited by the founders to Harvard students, but was expanded to other colleges in the Boston area, the Ivy League, and Stanford University. It gradually added support for students at various other universities before opening to high school students, and, finally, to anyone aged 13 and over, but based on ConsumersReports.org on May 2011, there are 7.5 million children under 13 with accounts, violating the site's terms.

It is proven that google is number 1 search engine in the world. That's why SEO was born because of this. Somehow in yahoo and beng.  Google before was PR 10 so with Facebook, the number one social networking sites in the world. But now, it's very confusing what really happened to google why they gone down to PR 9 while Facebook remains on PR 10. Let's find out on the next month what will be the PR of google and facebook again. Maybe google will back to PR 10 and facebook on 9 or whatever.

Social Bookmarking List with PR

Social Bookmarking is a popular and effective way of building back links and promoting traffic to your website. Social bookmarking websites are becoming more and more popular. They allow you to save bookmarks online and Tag/Categorize them with keywords instead of saving them as bookmarks in the favorite’s list of your browser.
I have compiled a list of Social Bookmarking websites here from a number of sources for your use.
Visit some of the sites provided here. Create an account. Then bookmark interesting and useful things in the areas of your interest or expertise. By doing so you create a useful Feed. Once you’ve done that you intermittently, (or aggressively), add useful and interesting items, (perhaps also from your own content), that could use additional exposure.

Here are the list of social bookmarking sites I've collected ever I started in Link Building.
